Sepax technology selected for a US cell therapy research program in cardiovascular disease

Cardiovascular Cell Therapy Research Network (CCTRN) recently announced that the Sepax cell processing system is being used in the current protocols of the NHLBI funded Cardiovascular Cell Therapy Research Network . This nationwide 5-centre study is funded by a $33.7 million grant from the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) and its purpose is to promote and accelerate clinical research in the evaluation of novel cell therapy treatment strategies for individuals with cardiovascular disease. This five year study runs through 2011 and is the largest of its kind in the USA. The five centers selected by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) include: Texas Heart Institute, Cleveland Clinic, University of Florida at Gainesville, Minnesota Heart Institute and Vanderbilt University.
